Jaipur, Nov 15: Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has assets worth Rs 1.10 crore and BJP's chief ministerial aspirant Vasundhara Raje Rs 2.93 crore while a rebel congress candidate for the state assembly polls has property worth Rs 16.48 crore. The assets made public by candidates while filing nominations for December 01 battle of the ballot in Rajasthan make interesting reading.
Gehlot, who entered the fray yesterday from Sardarpura constituency in his home town jodhpur, declared while filing nomination that he had assets worth Rs 1.10 crore.
Interestingly, Gehlot family does not own any vehicle, according to information available from the election office here.
BJP's candidate for the top post Vasundhara Raje, daughter-in-law of Dholpur royalty, has moveable assets worth Rs 2.93 crore which included investments in various companies and shares.
Regarding immovable property, she said there was dispute over this with her estranged husband.
Raje, who filed her papers from Jhalarapatan yesterday, owed Rs 2.38 lakh to a bank.
The richest candidate in the fray appears to be rebel Congress leader Gopal Joshi. Denied party ticket, he had entered the race from Kolayat constituency.
Joshi, who has Bikaner Bhujia and hotel businesses in Bikaner, has assets worth Rs 16.48 crore.
Rajesh Pilot's widow Rama, pitted against Raje, has assets worth Rs 64.67 lakh.
Former Chief Minister Shiv Charan Mathur of Congress has assets worth Rs 90 lakh and leader of the opposition Gulab Chand Kataria (BJP) Rs 41.21 lakh. Bureau Report
