Patna, June 01: The RJD today said it will organise a day-long dharna here on June 01 to protest the assault on Bihari students appearing in competitive examinations in Mumbai and Jharkhand recently. RJD spokesman Shivnand Tiwari said the party would observe a day-long dharna on June 01 and launch a massive agitation to express its strong resentment against assault of Bihari students appearing for railway examination at Mumbai recently and teachers recruitment test in Jharkhand yesterday. Such actions by Shiv Sena in Maharashtra and BJP in Jharkhand would force people of Bihar to give befitting reply to them, Tiwari said. He charged BJP, Samata and other opposition parties with being insensitive to the harassment of the people of Bihar. RJD would organise rallies in the constituencies of union ministers from the state like George Fernandes (Defence), Nitish Kumar (Railway), Sharad Yadav (Food and Civil Supplies) and others to 'expose' them.

There were over 12 ministers in the Union Cabinet from Bihar but none of them stood up to speak against targetting of people from the state by 'fascist forces', Tiwari said adding ''They are good only in criticising the RJD ministry to sustain themselves in politics.''

The people of Bihar are so generous that they gave political asylum to NDA leaders like Fernandes and Sharad Yadav but they are insensitive to their problems, he said and appealed to the people to reject them in the next elections.

He said the programme for launching a sustained massive agitation against attacks on Biharis would be chalked out after the dharna.
