New Delhi, Aug 01: Having touched four million customer mark across the country, Airtel on Friday announced a new post-paid plan, where the monthly rental is nil with a minimum usage of Rs 500, and outgoing local call charge is pegged at Rs 2.40 per minute.
"Our new plan is a post paid plan but with the benefits of a pre-paid plan. The Happy Plan has free incoming calls from anywhere anytime, while the outgoing calls to any phone would cost Rs 2.40 per minute," Manoj Kohli, President Mobility of Bharti Tele-ventures said at a press conference here.

The AirTel Happy Plan has zero monthly rental, zero processing fee, he said adding "when a subscriber uses the minimum usage commitment of Rs 500, he needs to pay only 500, which means he gets 100 per cent talktime."
Customers would have to pay additional charges for caller line identification and SMS facility, he pointed out.

AirTel which currently has a Pan India market share of over 24.8 per cent, has planned an investment of Rs 1200 crore for the current financial year, mainly to be utilised towards expansion and upgradation of its networks.
"We have notched four million customers across the country in 15 circles where we operate," Kohli added. Bureau Report
