Jakarta, Dec 20: Indonesian police will fly several key Bali bombing suspects from the resort island to central Java to reconstruct meetings which they allegedly held to plan the attack, a police spokesman said today.
Edward Aritonang, spokesman for the Bali bombing investigative team, said that the flight could happen today, tomorrow or Sunday. "It depends on the availability of the plane," said Aritonang. He said that police will use a charter aircraft.

Among the suspects to be transferred will be the alleged field Commander Imam Samudra and Amrozi, the first suspect arrested for the massive October 12 blast that killed at least 190 people. Aritonang was unavailable for further comment.

A report in today's Koran tempo daily newspaper said investigators would reconstruct meetings at solo in Central Java as well as in Surabaya and the east Java district of Lamongan, the home of Amrozi.

Koran tempo said the investigation team has asked for special security from members of the paramilitary police mobile brigade.

It said that lawyers for the suspects as well as judges and prosecutors would accompany investigators.

Police have said that the bombers held planning meetings in solo, and that after the bombing Samudra frequented Internet cafes in Surabaya before fleeing to the west coast of Java where he was arrested.

A total of 15 people are in custody for links to the Bali attacks.
