Chandigarh, Oct 18: Save people, owing allegiance to Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) and who allegedly paid money to get favours from the previous Badal government, are contemplating to move the court challenging the alleged `excesses` being committed on them by Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB) at the `behest` of Amarinder Singh government.
Chandigarh, Oct 18: Save people, owing allegiance to Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) and who allegedly paid money to get favours from the previous Badal government, are contemplating to move the court challenging the alleged "excesses" being committed on them by Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB) at the "behest" of Amarinder Singh government.
They told reporters at the official residence of SAD chief Parkash Singh Badal that "they and their family members are being subjected to harassment and humiliation at the hands of VB and police are conducting illegal raids and detaining persons without any authority of law."
Flanked by Badal, the persons claimed that they would file a petition in the high court next week seeking protection and challenging their illegal detention by the VB in the "garb" of investigations in the alleged graft case registered against Badals in June.
Supported by Badal, they alleged that they were being accused of having paid huge amounts as bribe to one Harbans Lal, manager of Badal family's petrol pump in Muktsar, at present in custody, for getting their works done.
