Jerusalem, July 20: One man died when a car exploded near a mosque in Jaffa early on Saturday, Israeli police said, adding that the blast was likely to be of "criminal" origin. The car blew up near Ahmadia mosque in the Arab part of Jaffa, a town near Tel Aviv where Jews and Arabs live side by side. The identity of the victim was not immediately known. Police were questioning the owner of the car, an Israeli from Holon on the outskirts of Tel Aviv. Bureau Report
