Istanbul, Nov 21: Seven people have been detained in connection with the double car bomb attacks against British interests in Istanbul, the mass-circulation Hurriyet newspaper reported today. The newspaper said that the suspects were being questioned by anti-terror police, but gave no further details. There was no official confirmation of the reported arrests.

At least 27 people were killed and hundreds more wounded in yesterday's attacks against the British Consulate and the Turkish headquarters of British banking giant HSBC, the second spate of bombing attacks in Istanbul in less than a week.
