Jabalpur, June 12: Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee would pay a one-day visit to Mandla, an Adivasi-dominated district of Madhya Pradesh, on June 17. Vajpayee would arrive here by a special plane, and leave in a helicopter for Mandla from Dumna airfield, official sources said here today.

He would launch the BJP campaign in Mahakoshal region for the forthcoming assembly elections, scheduled to be held in November this year.

Congress president Sonia Gandhi had visited Mandla in May.

After addressing a public meeting, Vajpayee would return here and leave for Mumbai by a special plane to take part in the 'chintan convention'.
