Srinagar, Jan 19: Twenty-one people including a few passengers were injured when unidentified militants exploded a grenade at a busy bus stand in Anantnag district of south Kashmir today, official sources said.
The sources said that the militants threw a grenade at Kulgam bus stand, about 70 km from here, around 3.45 pm, which exploded beneath a passenger bus.
They said that 21 people including some passengers of the bus were injured in the explosion which triggered panic in the township.
Police rushed to the spot and removed the injured to a hospital, they said adding 16 of the injured were discharged after first aid, while five others who received serious injuries have been shifted here for specialized treatment.
They said that no militant outfit has claimed responsibility for the explosion so far.
A hunt has been launched to nab the ultras involved in the blast, they said.

The sources said that a police party was patrolling the bus stand when the incident took place.
This is the second grenade explosion by militants in a busy area in Anantnag district since yesterday.
