NDA fact-finding team in Kolkata
Kolkata, July 01: A four-member factfinding team ofNDA MPs arrived here today on a two-day visit to West Bengalto investigate the alleged `brutal repression` of opposition party workers in the state.

NDA MPs arrived here today on a two-day visit to West Bengal
to investigate the alleged "brutal repression" of opposition
party workers in the state.
The team was sent as per the decision taken at an NDA
meeting in Delhi on June 21 following a demand made by TC
chief Mamata Banerjee for a probe into the alleged atrocities
on her party workers, leader of the opposition in the assembly
and TC leader Pankaj Banerjee said.
The team, headed by BJP MP Kirit Somaiya, would visit
Khejuri and Ramnagar in Midnapore east district today and
the most affected areas of Chakdah in Nadia district and
Bagdah in north 24 Parganas in north 24 Parganas district
tomorrow.
The other members of the team are Dr D`souza (Samata Party), Chandrasekhar Khare (Shiv Sena and Sukhdeo Paswan (RJD-democratic).
Banerjee said he and a BJP representative would accompany it.
The team had not planned any meeting with the state administration,
The report would be submitted to the NDA for taking up during the forthcoming session of parliament.
"TC would try to expose the ruling CPI-M`s facist attitude against its political opponents in the state...There is no democracy and police are under the total control of the left front", he added.
