Mumbai, Jan 05: Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee arrives here today on a three-day visit of Maharashtra, official sources said. Vajpayee would lay the foundation stone of Vivekanand Education Society`s (VES) "Hashu Advani Memorial Complex" in the city on January six.
He is scheduled to dedicate the sprawling Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini training complex to the nation at Uttan in adjacent thane district on Jan 6, they said adding the Prime Minister would also inaugurate the Savai Gandharva memorial in Pune on January seven.
At the VES function, founded by BJP leader late Hashu Advani, Maharashtra Governor Mohammed Fazal would release a publication commemorating the 40 years of the society. Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh would be the chief guest on the occasion.
At the Prabodhini function, union minister and president of the training complex Pramod Mahajan, BJP vice-president Gopinath Munde and various senior RSS functionaries are expected to be present on the occasion.
The Centre aims at focussing upon “capacity building” of elected representatives at various levels as well as of social workers, directors of co-operative banks and heads of educational institutions. Bureau Report
