Trains passing through Ayodhya and Faizabad to be diverted
Ayodhya, Oct 11: The Commissioner, Ayodhya , J P Sharma today requested the railway board to divert all trains passing through Ayodhya and Faizabad till October 17 in view of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad`s proposed Ayodhya march programme.
Ayodhya, Oct 11: The Commissioner, Ayodhya , J P Sharma today requested the railway board to divert all trains passing through Ayodhya and Faizabad till October 17 in view of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad's proposed Ayodhya march programme.
A letter in this regard has been sent to the railway board requesting for diversion of all trains passing through the temple towns between October 14 and 17 in view of the VHP
programme, Sharma told newspersons here .
He said that only the Faizabad depot buses of the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) will be allowed to ply through the twin towns during this period to monitor the rush of VHP activists.
Prohibitory orders are already in force in the district and all precautions are being taken to ensure that there is no extraordinary rush of VHP activists, he added.
Sharma said that a total of 1800 Shiv Sena activists were today arrested from the neighbouring districts while they were on their way to take part in the banned Ram bhakt sammelan here.
Meanwhile, elaborate security arrangements have been made in view of the VHP programme, he added.
