Kathmandu, Nov 04: Security forces have recovered huge quantity of explosives, ready to use pressure cooker bombs and important documents on terrorist activities from various parts of Kathmandu valley during search operations. Acting on tip off from local citizens, security forces during search operations seized 130 kgs of guillotine, 60 kgs of other explosive materials, some pressure cooker bombs, pagers and equipments used to make bombs.

They also recovered important documents consisting of future plans of terrorists in the valley, a source in the army headquarters said. These explosives could have caused great damage to the life and property in the valley had the security forces not recovered them on time.

The Maoists have been targeting various parts of Kathmandu valley after the unilateral breakdown of cease-fire in August this year.
