Ahmedabad, June 02: City police have launched a manhunt for four unidentified persons, who attacked a police sub-inspector and constable of Sabarmati police station and fled with latter's service revolver.
The incident took place when the policemen confronted these four persons during night patrolling in Sabarmati area and stopped them for questioning, police said.

The four, were reportedly irked due to questioning and suddenly attacked the police sub-inspector Gaurishanker Tiwari with a sharp-edged weapon and fired two rounds in air after snatching his service revolver.

Constable Ganpatbhai was also hurt in the ruckus while Tiwari was admitted to the civil hospital where his condition was reported to be stable, sources added.
