Ranchi, Sept 13: Three extremists, including an area commander of the MCC, have been killed in separate encounters in Jharkhand's Gumla district. Superintendent of Police Pankaj Darad said separate encounters took place last night at Sijang village and Khatanga forest area respectively, from where police recovered arms and ammunition besides naxal literature. The area commander of MCC, identified as Dasrath Oaraon, and another ultra, Tulsi Singh, were killed in the encounter that took place at Sijang under Palkot police station. In another encounter at Chhotka Khantga near the forest, a group of ultras opened fire on the police. One Suraj was shot dead in the return fire.
Several rounds of fire were exchanged during the encounters. Bureau Report
