New Delhi, May 27: There was more good news for the Indians at the French Open Tennis Championships which began in Paris with Sanaa Bhambri entering into the girls singles main draw of the junior event. Yesterday, 18-year-old Somdev Dev Verman was accepted into the boys' main draw of the prestigious Clay Court Grand Slam event.

With Sania Mirza having already entered the girls' event, three of the four Indian challengers have now made it to the main draw.
The fourth player, Karan Rastogi, will have to fight his way through the qualifying rounds at the Roland Garros, according to information received here today.

The 15-year old Sanaa starts with an advantage since clay is her favourite surface. The elegant left-hander has been playing good tennis recently, reaching the quarterfinals and the semifinals of grade 1 events in South Asia last month.
Sanaa, ranked 53, also played a key role in India qualifying to the world finals of the Junior Fed Cup event earlier this month.
