Kathmandu, Dec 12: Five major political parties in Nepal today announced a fresh, two-week-long agitation programme from December 16, seeking to reinstate the House of Representatives and formation of an all party government. The Nepali Congress, Nepal Communist Party, Nepal Sadbhavana Party, Janamorcha Nepal and Nepal workers and peasants party will stage nationwide black flag demonstrations on December 16, political leaders said.
Gheraos, sit-in protests and rallies would also be held throughout the kingdom, they said.
The five parties have been organizing a series of protests in the past nine months with their two point demands of reinstating the House of Representatives and formation of an all party government. King Gyanendra in Oct 2002 had dissolved the assembly and installed the Surya Behadur Thapa government. Bureau Report
