Court rejects Raja Bhaiya`s parole application
Kanpur, July 19: District and sessions judge Shailendr Saxena today rejected the application of Uttar Pradesh independent MLA Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiya for ten days parole to see his ailing mother and wife.
Kanpur, July 19: District and sessions judge Shailendr Saxena today rejected the application of Uttar Pradesh independent MLA Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiya for ten days parole to see his ailing mother and wife.
A designated Pota court also fixed July 24 for framing charges Raja Bhaiya, his father Udai Pratap Singh and MLC Akshay Pratap Singh in connection with a Pota case.
The defence sought names of witnesses marked as X, Y, Z in the chargesheet while the prosecution argued the names could be disclosed at appropriate time after framing of charges. The court hearing was held amidst tight security.
Raja Bhaiya is currently lodged in Kanpur District Jail, his father in Pratapgarh District Jail and the MLC in Mirzapur Prison. Bureau Report
