New Delhi, Sept 22: Congress today hailed the verdict of an Orissa court in the Graham Staines triple murder case saying the punishment awarded to the culprits, including Dara Singh, unmasked the "true character of the Sangh Parivar organisations" like Bajrang Dal. Party spokesman Anand Sharma told reporters that death sentence to Dara and life imprisonment to the rest of the 12 convicts in the case showed the "judicious" view taken by the court while handing out punishment in the heinous crime. He said the verdict "unmasked the true character and intent of the organisations of the Sangh Parivar actively fomenting communal tension and misusing religion".

To a query as to why the Sangh Parivar was at the receiving end of court rulings and observations, Sharma quipped "as you sow, so you reap. Justice is delayed but not denied".
