London, Jan 20: Britain's latest "Pop Idol," Michelle McManus, held her place at No. 1 on the latest U.K. singles chart with "All This Time," while Dido logged her 10th week atop the albums chart. In a somewhat slower than usual singles survey, Kelis climbed one place higher to No. 2 with "Milkshake," and much-tipped new Scottish rock act Franz Ferdinand debuted at No. 3 with "Take Me Out."

The dancehall/R&B track "So Confused" by 2 Play featuring Raghav entered at No. 8, but Beyonce's "Me, Myself and I" missed the top 10 at No. 11, as did regular hitmaking combo Liberty X with "Everybody Cries" at No. 12.

The top three on the album chart were the same as last week, with Dido's "Life for Rent" heading off Will Young's "Friday's Child" at No. 2 and Black Eyed Peas' "Elephunk" at No. 3. Katie Melua's "Call off the Search" jumped five places to a new high of No. 4.
Tears For Fears' "Tears Roll Down -- Greatest Hits 1982-1992," rapidly reissued in the wake of the new No. 1 cover of "Mad World" by Michael Andrews featuring Gary Jules, re-charted at No. 6. The album was first released in 1992, reaching No. 2 in a 27-week run.
