Security Forces recovered 150 kgs of deadly RDX from a militant hideout and arrested one person in this connection in Sopore town of Baramulla district on Friday night, a BSF spokesman said on Saturday.

“The RDX, kept in three gunny bags each weighing 50 kgs, was seized by the BSF from a hideout at Kalashpora-Wahibug in Sopore, 60 kms from Srinagar,” he said.
One person, Farooq Ahmad Shah was arrested in this connection.
In another successful operation, the spokesman said that BSF unearthed a militant hideout at Deyan in Lolab area of Kupwara district in north Kashmir and recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition from it.

The seizure made from the hideout included two AK assault rifles, five magazines with 120 rounds, a silencer pistol, four rockets, nine boosters, 98 metres of Cordex wire and some cleaning material for heavy weapons, the spokesman said.
