Los Angeles: The Oscars red carpet was rolled out to honour the best in cinematic world. The 87th celebration of Academy Award at Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on Sunday saw cinema being celebrated in the most beautiful way.

The gala event started with the red carpet being adorned by the whose who of Hollywood. The tinsel town dressed in their best come for the grand award – the women in their best designer attires and the men dressed in their tuxedoes make the event as dazzling as it can be.


The nominations for the Oscar Awards were announced on January 15, 2015.


The Academy has already announced Honorary Awards for Jean Claude Carrière, Hayao Miyazaki and Maureen O’Hara and a Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award to Harry Belafonte in November 2014.
