Court summon to Amarinder in Badal defamation case
Chandigarh, Aug 16: A local court today issued summon to Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh in a criminal defamation suit filed against him by his predecessor and Akali Dal chief Prakash Singh Badal.
Chandigarh, Aug 16: A local court today issued summon to Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh in a criminal defamation suit filed against him by his predecessor and Akali Dal chief Prakash Singh Badal.
Chief Judicial Magistrate C L Mohal issued the summon to
the chief minister for September 20.
Badal has sought Rs five crore damages accusing the chief minister of defaming him through advertisement and letters in the media in which Singh mentioned about the Akali Dal leader's properties.
He has also accused the chief minister of launching a campaign to defame and intimidate Akali Dal leaders and workers.
