Twenty-three people were injured on Monday in Austria's third serious tunnel crash this month, police said.
In the latest incident, an Italian bus travelling towards Italy hit the wall at the entrance to a roadway tunnel in southern Austria, injuring 22 polish passengers and the bus driver, police said.
Four people were in serious condition, including the Italian driver who was thrown through the windshield.
Police said the driver, who missed a curve at the approach to the tunnel, appeared to have fallen asleep at the wheel. Last week, two accidents in Austrian tunnels claimed eight lives and injured more than a dozen people.
