The U.S. and U.K. have resumed air strikes against the Taliban, bombing targets around the Afghan city of Kandahar where the Taliban headquarters is based, reports said Tuesday. The attacks started just after daylight in the Afghan city, adding lanes and heavy anti-aircraft fire could be heard in the city.

Among the targets is the residence of Mullah Mohammad Omar, the spiritual head of the Taliban.
It is also reported at least three explosions around the Afghan capital of Kabul. Bureau Report
