Samajwadi Party's (SP) campaign for the coming Vidhan Sabha election has taken the Bharatiya Janata Party by surprise in Uttar Pradesh. The 'innovative' two-minute films prepared by the SP are being shown in the city's cinema halls and cable TV networks to higlight the 'misrule' of the BJP.
While in one of the films, the doctor is shown telling the prospective father, waiting anxiously outside the labour room, that his child was not ready to take birth in the state which is under the BJP rule, the other film takes a dig at the Chief Minister Rajnath Singh, who made a series of announcements since taking over office and has earned the title of 'Ghoshana Mantri' by his political adversaries.
Singh was also forced to take note of the film and at a recent public meeting in Haidergarh, he retorted by saying that the child is probably awaiting the 'mafia raj' of the Samajwadi Party to come into the world as then he would be sure that no action would be taken against him even if he indulged in anti-social activities.
In the hoardings too, the Samajwadi Party has directly attacked the BJP by claiming that the state is burning under the BJP regime. The election commission, however, has not taken the hoardings lightly and said it would take action if it received a complaint in this regard. On its part, the Samajwadi Party's local unit said that the central party has organised the campaigning and the national general secretary of the party,Amar Singh was managing it. They said the party leadership (Mulayam Singh Yadav) had given the slogan of Roti kapra sasta ho, dava parahai muft ho. Breau Report
