New Delhi, Sep 02: Two notorious criminals allegedly involved in several cases of murder and dacoity were nabbed after brief encounter in the Narela area of north-west Delhi last night, police said today. Surender alias Kala, a wanted criminal from Sonepat district in Haryana and his accomplice Ashok Kumar Saini from Sampla in the state were apprehended by a special team of the crime branch and two country-made weapons of .315 bore were seized from them, police said.

The duo allegedly belonged to Anil Bhakte gang and were involved in nine heinous cases of murder and petrol pump dacoity, police said, adding they were planning to rob a petrol pump in Narela when they were caught.

No one was injured in the encounter and an UN-numbered motorcycle was seized from them.
In another incident, the anti-robbery section of crime branch has seized 1747 pornographic books in Hindi and English from a vendor outside New Delhi railway station, police said adding the vendor has since been arrested.
