VHP in aggressive mood after RSS-BJP support on temple issue
New Delhi, Sept 14: Emblodened by the backing of RSS and BJP for a stepped-up campaign on the temple issue following the ASI report on excavations in Ayodhya, the VHP today adopted a strident posture saying it would press ahead with the movement whether or not it helped any political party.

At a meeting of top VHP leaders here today to discuss the action plan to be finalized at the two-day meeting here of Marg Darshak Mandal, it was felt that there was need to
mobilize public opinion for temple construction in Ayodhya.
After the meeting, VHP leader Praveen Togadia told reporters that the decision for the temple stir was taken by the sants who did not take permission from any party. "We will carry on with that movement even if someone disagrees with it. The temple movement will go on till the jihadi force are crushed," he said.
