New Delhi, Nov 26: Senior advocate Raju Ramachandran has been appointed as Additional Solicitor General (ASG) of India to deal with government cases in Supreme Court.
His appointment has been made effective from Monday, an official release said here today. The post of the senior law officer of the government had fallen vacant after elevation of ASG Kirit Raval to the post of Solicitor General of India recently.
Ramachandran, having vast experience in constitutional, administrative, public service laws and commercial matters, was enrolled in the supreme court bar in 1976 and designated as a senior advocate in 1996.
