London, Nov 14: Index compiler Morgan Stanley Capital International said on Thursday it has added six new stocks to its Standard Index Series, including Univision Communications of the United States and Italy 's Autostrade.
MSCI, whose indexes are tracked across the world by fund managers, announced the changes as part of its quarterly and semi-annual review of various indexes.
All the changes announced will become effective after close of trading on November 28. Details of the changes can be found on www.msci.com
Other additions to the Standard Index are Angiotech Pharmaceuticals of Canada, I-flex solutions of India , Indonesia 's Bank Danamon, and CP Seven Eleven of Thailand.
In addition, the local shares of Shin Corp of Thailand , and National Finance of Thailand will replace the foreign shares in the MSCI Thailand Index.
MSCI said the free float estimates - the number of shares available for investors to buy - were recalculated for 34 securities in 17 countries in the Standard Index series.
MSCI said there were no changes to its Pan Euro and Euro Indices, though there were some changes to free float estimates.
