Kolkata, Apr 06: The all-India anti-imperialist forum has called for a boycott of Pepsi, Coca-Cola, Mcdonald and all American and British goods in India and other countries and building up of a strong anti-US and anti-British movement to protest against the unjust war on Iraq.
"We give a call to all peace-loving people of the world and India to rise up in protest against the imperialist aggression against Iraq and boycott Pepsi, Coca-Cola, Mcdonald and all American and British goods in the markets of respective countries in protest", the forum's general secretary, S K Mukherjee, said.
He said such a boycott would act as a powerful and coordinated move to register global protest against the attack on Iraqis.
Condemning the aggression, Mukherjee said those perpetrating such heinous crimes by carrying out the military strikes on defenceless and innocent Iraqis, should be tried as war criminals.
Justice V R Krishna Iyer, former judge of the Supreme Court, is the president of the forum.
