Munich, May 30: Industry chamber FICCI proposes to set up an integrated "knowledge business platform" between India and Germany on the lines of the Knowledge Trade Initiative with the United States, its president AC Muthiah said on Thursday. Noting that India was blessed with amazing bio-diversity from the Himalayas to the tropical south, Muthiah said that the two countries could also forge cooperation in bio-technology and pharmaceutical sectors.
He said taking inspiration from Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's announcement in Berlin, FICCI would soon institute scholarships for German students to visit India and learn about the changing economic scenario, culture and related aspects.
Vajpayee was also present on the occasion. Bureau Report
