Bhopal, Dec 05: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh today submitted his resignation to Governor Ram Prakash Gupta.

According to Raj Bhawan sources, Singh has been asked to continue with his responsibilities till a new government is constituted.
Meanwhile, BJP's Chief Minister in-waiting Uma Bharti will be administered the oath of office and secrecy on December 8 at the Lal Parade ground.
Of the 230 seats in the state, the BJP had won 172 and the Congress 39.
