Dehra Dun, June 04: The helicopter service to the Kedarnath shrine remained suspended for the second consecutive day today due to raging fires in the jungles of Rudraprayag, an official said. Thick smoke was billowing from Augustmuni and Ukhimuth areas in the district creating poor visibility thereby forcing Pawan Hans to cancel all its four flights, Ashok Kumar, area manager of the company told a news agency. The helicopter service was started on May 16 to avoid a 14 kilometre trek to the hill shrine. Bureau Report
