Mumbai, July 24: Air-conditioning and refrigeration major Blue Star has posted a 12.76 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 2.65 crore in first quarter ending June 30, 2003, compared to Rs 2.35 crore posted during the same period of the previous financial year. The company's total income rose to Rs 142.48 crore during the quarter under review, Blue Star chairman and chief executive Ashok M Advani said in a release on Wednesday.

Blue Star's new order inflow posted a 29 per cent rise in the quarter, Advani said adding, he expected the trend to continue during the current fiscal.
The company will complete 60 years of operation in September 2003. Bureau Report
