Stating this at the "Pardafash" (exposure) rally at Ambedkar Maidan, Mayawati said the SP leaders could face imprisonment up to three years and fine if found guilty.
Twenty-nine cases relating to alleged misuse of chief minister's discretionary fund while he was in power and giving threats and hurling abuses on political opponents were registered against the SP chief in his home district Etawah, police sources said..
In some cases, managers of schools controlled by Yadav and his family have also been charged along with him, the sources said.
At the rally, Mayawati dared Yadav to prove the latest allegations of corruption levelled by his party against her or else tender an apology.
