London, July 07: Roger Federer's Wimbledon triumph yesterday made him only the fourth man to go on from winning the juniors title at the all England club to become the men's singles champions.
Federer won the Boy's singles at Wimbledon in 1998, beating Irakli Labadze 6-4 6-4 in the final.
By adding the men's title this year he has emulated the achievement of three greats of the grass court game - Bjorn Borg, Pat Cash and Stefan Edberg.
Borg, Juniors winner in 1972, was champion five times between 1976 and 1980.
Cash won the Boys title in 1982 and came back to win the Men's title in 1987. Edberg was Junior champion the year after Cash before winning the biggest prize in the game twice in 1988 and 1990.
