Colombo, June 21: Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesighe left for London today to hold discussions with his British counterpart Tony Blair, officials said. Wickremesinghe will have two days of talks with several British ministers on Monday and Tuesday, officials said. The visit comes as the government's peace bid with Tamil Tiger rebels remained deadlocked over guerrilla demands for greater political power ahead of a final settlement. The Tamil Tiger chief negotiator, Anton Balasingham, is based in London. However, during Wickremesinghe's visit, Balasingham would be a way on holiday, official sources said. Bureau Report
