Crawford, Texas, Nov 03: The United States remains committed to its war against "terrorists" in Iraq despite the deaths of 15 US soldiers in the downing of a military
helicopter, the White House has said.
"The terrorists seek to kill coalition forces and innocent Iraqis because they want us to run, but our will and resolve are unshakeable," White House spokesman Trent Duffy said yesterday.
"We will prevail in this critical front in the war on terror because the stakes are too high to do anything less."
Duffy said President George W. Bush, vacationing at his Texas ranch, was informed of the incident by staff but had no public statement.
