India and Thailand on Friday decided to set up a Joint Working Group on security matters. The two sides signed two agreements for cooperation in science and technology and space. The two sides also decided to sustain high-level political dialogue and intensify economic cooperation.
The Joint Working Group which will meet shortly at the official level will discuss the problem of terrorism, narcotics, smuggling and other related issues.
This was decided after wide-ranging discussions by visiting Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra and Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee which covered the current campaign against terrorism, regional and multilateral issues besides the entire gamut of bilateral relations. Bureau Report
