Two arrested for leaking medical question papers
Srinagar, Dec 07: Close on the heels of the combined admission test (CAT) papers scam, the leakage of examination papers for post graduate medicine course has surfaced in Jammu and Kashmir with the arrest of two persons by the Vigilance Bureau.

Bureau.
"The investigations so far point to a leakage of
examination papers. We have arrested two persons who were
involved in collecting money from candidates aspiring for
admission to the post graduate courses in medicine," Vigilance
Commissioner N Raju told reporters.
A lecturer is the kingpin of the racket and all the recoveries were made from his residence on the old airport road. But he is absconding and we have get him to ascertain the size of the racket, he said.
Raju refused to divulge the names of the arrested persons or the absconding kingpin.
However, sources said, a local television artiste and an MBBS student were arrested.
Raju said the doctor, who had seen the question papers before his arrest and commencement of the examination, had recalled 17 questions.
Acting on a tip-off, the bureau conducted raids at several places and recovered Rs 14.84 lakh and some documents, he said.
More than 2000 candidates appeared in the test. The fate of the examination was not immediately known in view of the revelations on the likelihood of a paper leak.
Police in Delhi last month arrested several persons in connection with leakage of examination papers for the CAT test to six institutes of management services.
