RLD united under Ajit Singh`s leadership: MLA
New Delhi, June 07: Prominent RLD MLA and former Uttar Pradesh minister Tej Pal Singh, camping along with 11 other MLAs at Srinagar, today rubbished rebel party leader Rameshwar Singh`s claim that he enjoyed the support of all the party legislators.
New Delhi, June 07: Prominent RLD MLA and former Uttar Pradesh minister Tej Pal Singh, camping along with 11 other MLAs at Srinagar, today rubbished rebel party leader Rameshwar Singh's claim that he enjoyed the support of all the party legislators.
Tej Pal, speaking from Srinagar over phone, said
"we are united under the leadership of Ajit Singh, who in
consultation with other parties would chart the future course
of action."
He said a meeting would be held tomorrow at Delhi between RLD, Congress, Samajwadi Party and Kalyan Singh's Rashtriya Kranti Party to discuss the strategy to topple the Mayawati government, which he claimed had lost majority in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly. RLD has a strength of 14 MLAs in the house.
RLD vice-president Rameshwar Singh today resigned from the party and floated Lok Dal (Charan Singh) and claimed at a press conference at Lucknow that he had the support of all the MLAs of the party. He extended support to Mayawati government and said that it enjoyed a majority in the house.
