Beed (Maharashtra), Oct 18: Hitting out at NCP President Sharad Pawar for raking up her foreign origin issue, Congress President Sonia Gandhi today said that those questioning her commitment and nationalism cannot snatch away her patriotism and Indianness.
"Aap mujhe kuch bhi kahe, kuch bhi iljam lagaye par aap mujhse meri deshbhakti aur bhartiyata chhin nahi sakate, (you can say anything about me and level any sort of allegations against me but no one can take my patriotism and Indianness)", she said.
Why are some people claiming to be `Rashtrawadi` (nationalist) afraid of a single women?", she questioned without naming the NCP president with whose party the Congress shares power in Maharashtra.
Gandhi was addressing a womens rally at Beed in Marathwada in Maharashtra.
Speaking in Hindi, she said personal accusations are being levelled against her and questions are being raised about her commitment and Indianness.

She also hit out at BJP and the Sangh Parivar for dividing the society in the name of religion.
