Bhopal, Nov 14: Madhya Pradesh`s Assembly poll campaign scene will be rather hi-tech this time round with modern means of communication, including SMS and the Internet, being extensively employed.

will be rather hi-tech this time round with modern means of
communication, including SMS and the Internet, being extensively
employed.
The ruling Congress and main opposition Bharatiya Janata Party,
arch-rivals in the electoral arena, are in final stages of
preparations to equip themselves with 'Prachar Prakshaypastra'(campaign missiles).
Keeping in view the impact of the electronic media, both outfits have given special place to telefilms, compact discs and videos even as they've taken the pioneering step of linking all 45 acknowledged districts with state party offices through the Internet.
Though three districts were created recently, the Election Commission of India has not 'recognised' them for the December 01 hustings. Attractive slogans and eye-catching posters of 'campaign heroes' are almost ready. The BJP and Congress also consulted stalwarts of the marketing sector.
''This time, my party will use SMS and landlines for conveying our statements to voters ,'' BJP spokesman Kailash Vijayvargiya said. Bureau Report
