Srinagar, Mar 03: Security forces foiled an infiltration bid by killing two intruders at extreme Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir where three persons, including a woman were killed in separate incidents since last evening. Security forces spotted a group of infiltrating militants at extreme LoC near Nadari village in Balnoi sector in border district of Poonch last evening. The militants were challenged and during the ensuing encounter two ultras were killed, an official spokesman said here today. He said two AK assault rifles, their two magazines, 30 rounds were recovered from the slain militants. Body of a woman identified as Raja Begum was fished out from a river at Awantipora in Pulwama district of south Kashmir today, official sources said adding the cause of death is being ascertained.
Militants abducted and later killed one, Riyaz Ahmad Bhat at village Panzoo in Pulwama. Bhat was killed for his alleged links with security forces, the sources said. They said police also picked up body of an unidentified person near Trehgam in Kupwara district of north Kashmir today.
