About 150 people were rescued by fishing boats after the Wirmala Dharma ferry sank on its way to Lombok Island in eastern Indonesia, a private radio station reported.
Five adults and one baby died in the accident, state news agency said. An estimated 200 people were aboard the ship when it sank at about 3:45 am, two hours into a night crossing from Bali's Padangbai port, said the report. The status of the remaining passengers was not immediately clear.
