Bangladeshi intruder shot dead by BSF
Silchar, Jan 02: A Bangladeshi intruder was shot dead by BSF in Assam`s Karimganj district when he along with 34 others who had came for stealing forest wood attacked the security personnel.

Official sources here today said, a group of 35 people
came from Bangladesh for cutting wood from Mokamtali forest
under Patherkandi police station yesterday and upon the BSF
challenging them, the trespassers attacked the security
personnel.
The BSF retaliated killing one on the spot while the rest fled away, sources said.
In another incident one Eklas Ali of Deotali village of the same district was nabbed by the BSF for engaging in 'anti-national' activities.
