Mumbai, Dec 06: Jahid Patni, deported from Dubai recently, was today arrested and remanded by a special court to police custody till December 15 in connection with the August 25 Zaveri Bazaar bomb blast. Patni was already in custody in the case of explosive seizure at suburban Andheri on December 02. He and three others had been remanded to judicial custody till December 15 in this case.
The other three accused are Sahed Mohammed Hanif, his wife Fahimida and associate Arshat Ansari.
All of them were produced before designated judge A P Bhangale.
Altogether 53 persons had been killed and over 100 injured when explosions occurred at Gateway of India and Zaveri Bazaar areas of south Mumbai on August 05.
