Jodhpur, Nov 23: Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee today assured that an appropriate decision would be taken through consensus for providing reservation on economic basis after the assembly elections. Making a post script to his public address at an election rally here, Vajpayee returned to the mike after finishing his speech to say" I have just been reminded about reservation to upper castes on economic basis. Chunav ke baad sahi faisala liya jayega. Yah kaam sahmati se hoga (an appropriate decision will be taken after the elections. This will be done through consensus)." Vajpayee in an veiled attack on Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said there is no need to politicise the issue. Gehlot was the first Chief Minister to demand reservation for upper castes on economic basis after state wide agitation by BJP leader Devi Singh Bhati, who after his expulsion from the party fielded 66 candidates under the banner of social justice forum.
