Washington, Oct 01: US President George W Bush who received Pakistani Prime Minister Zaffarullah Khan Jamali at the White House today said talks between them would cover issues like enhancing US-Pak relations and commerce. The talks are to focus on commerce, livelihood of people, and enhancing the friendship between the two countries, Bush told reporters at the White House.
The President said that there were a lot of Pakistani Americans in the US and he was also welcoming Jamali to the White House on their behalf
Jamali said he was glad to be here.
Pakistan, said Jamali, is helping to fight terrorism and his country wants a long lasting friendship with the US. Earlier, US officials had said that talk would cover Iraq, the war on terrorism, security on the Afghan border, Kashmir and central Asia. Bureau Report
